New Year’s Eve Game Idea
I’m a big fan of printable games for New Year’s Eve! I love to put one printable game in each of our New Year’s Eve countdown boxes and play one each hour leading up to the big midnight celebration! This New Year’s Eve Would You Rather game is a fun new addition to this year’s New Year’s Eve party! Have you ever played the Would You Rather game? Basically the idea is that you ask someone two scenarios and they have to choose which one they’d rather do. Like would you rather live in the mountains or live on the beach? Or would you rather marry Chris Pratt or Chris Hemsworth? I bet you can guess which side of that coin on after my experience with Thor. Or would you rather eat a bowl full of dead crickets or a cup full of live worms? There are tons of different Would You Rather Questions out there that you could use to play the game, but today I’m sharing some New Year’s Eve themed would you rather questions and a new version of the would you rather game that would be fun for New Year’s Eve! This would be really fun to play right after one of these New Year’s Eve trivia games!
New Year’s Eve Would You Rather Game
The thing I love most about this game is that you really don’t need anything other than the the printable would you rather questions (get them via the pink form toward the bottom of this post) and people to play. And if you want to play the even more fun pairs version I’ve described below, you’ll just want to make sure you have an even number of people – ideally people who know each other fairly well kind like couples. You’ll also want a bowl of dried black eyed peas or something people can use to keep track of their points. Want to see how it’s played? Watch the video in this post for an example of both version 1 and version 2!
How to Play the Would You Rather Game – Version 1
In the regular version of would you rather, simply read the two options from the printable and go around the room and ask everyone the question from the printable. So something like would you rather go 100 years in the future or 100 years in the past? Or would you rather wear the same shirt or the same underwear for an entire year? Some of the questions are more difficult, some of them are easier. But they’re all ones that will be fun to think about and come up with an answer.
How to Play the More Fun Would You Rather Game
Okay so you’ve got the idea of the basic game? Now it’s time to pick it up a notch and make it even more fun with a would you rather couples game. Have everyone in the group pick a teammate – ideally it should be either couples or people that know each other well. But it could just be random strangers, it may just be a little tougher to get the same answers. Have one person read the first statement on the printable then count to three. When you count to three, each person in the pairs has to yell out their answer at the same time. The goal is to yell out the same answer as your teammate. If you match your teammate, you score one point for your team. Have someone from the next pair read out the next statement and repeat the same thing with each pair yelling out their answer and trying to match. Have couples keep track of how many points they score by either writing it down on a piece of paper or having them take a dried black eyed pea from a bowl to give themselves points.
How to Win Would You Rather?
Continue reading through all of the statements and having pairs score points as they play. The team with the most points after you finish all of the statements wins. If you need prize ideas, any of these prizes would make great options. If you’re playing with couples, you could just pick up one prize for the winner. If you’re playing with random pairs, I recommend having two prizes – one for each person in the pair.
